Day of Surgery

Here I sit in front of my computer at 4:00 am reading group emails and reaffirming my decision to go forward with my surgery in a few hours. I had trouble sleeping and finally got up around 3:00 am. Yes, I will be tired later but it will be a good tired. I am so ready to be rid of this cocoon I've been wearing for most of my adult life and become a healthier, more active middle-ager.
